From a young age, I have been exploring on skis where ever there was snow. My parents signed me up with the Telemark Jackrabbit’s Program and I fell in love with racing and adventuring with the other young skiers. At the age of 12, I tried biathlon and have been Cross Country and Biathlon racing nationally and internationally ever since!
I would like to acknowledge and thank the Telemark Nordic Club for their support and all of the Okanagan coaches I have had along the way that inspired both a love of competition and the outdoors. A special mention to Rob Swan, who taught me how to train and push myself. I credit him for my junior development and teaching me the ropes of many endurance sports.
In 2011 I left my hometown of Kelowna and headed to Canmore, Alberta in order to train at the Biathlon Alberta Training Centre. Under the expertise of Coach Richard Boruta, I hit the podium at World Junior Championships and had numerous top 10 results internationally.
After a successful 2013/2014 season, I was named to the National Biathlon Team and am currently training with coaches Roddy Ward and Matthias Ahrens. The goal now is to represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, Korea.
Outside of skiing, I am studying a variety of courses in sciences and business with the goal of applying to dentistry school after my athletic career.
